(CNN) -- Police in Hungary say a man killed four people with a sword and injured three others after a family argument, state media reported Friday.
Laszlo Garamvolgyi of the Hungarian police told reporters that the killer used "weapons that were able to stab and cut and the crime was brutal," according to state-owned Hungarian News Agency MTI.
Garamvolgyi said "a family argument" led to the attack.
The incident occurred in Kulcs, a small town south of the capital, Budapest.
Csaba Kiss, the mayor of Kulcs, said the family involved was described by locals as normal and hard-working.
