- ISAF said a blast kills 2 service members
(CNN) -- Two NATO service members were killed in a suicide attack in northern Afghanistan on Tuesday, a military official said.
The attack took place at a vegetable market in the city of Maymana in Faryab province, killing six and wounding 20, said provincial Governor Abdul Haq Shafaq. He said three foreign troop members were wounded and that they were Americans.
An ISAF official confirmed that a suicide attack had taken place in the area and that two service members with the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force had died.
The official did not want to be named because he was not authorized to speak to the media.
Per policy, ISAF also does not release nationalities of service members
